Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Taking Risks Behind the Veil of Ignorance [PDF]
A natural view in distributive ethics is that everyone's interests matter, but the interests of the relatively worse off matter more than the interests of the relatively better off. I provide a new argument for this view.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The performance identification of gripper by isocline analysis
In this work, a way to identify the performance and adjustment of the gripper was proposed by isocline analysis. This isocline analysis method is processed in three steps.

Quantum boomeranglike effect of wave packets in random media [PDF]
We unveil an original manifestation of Anderson localization for wave packets launched with a finite average velocity: after an initial ballistic motion, the center of mass of the wave packet experiences a retroreflection and slowly returns to its ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The accuracy of landslide susceptibility prediction (LSP) mainly depends on the precision of the landslide spatial position. However, the spatial position error of landslide survey is inevitable, resulting in considerable uncertainties in LSP modeling ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Biomechanical Evidence on Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
Objective Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is recommended in athletes with high physical demands. Several techniques are used in reconstruction; however, themost relevant question still is the best biomechanical positioning for the graft.

Observation of Log-Periodic Oscillations in the Quantum Dynamics of Electrons on the One-Dimensional Fibonacci Quasicrystal [PDF]
We revisit the question of quantum dynamics of electrons on the off-diagonal Fibonacci tight-binding model. We find that typical dynamical quantities, such as the probability of an electron to remain in its original position as a function of time ...
