Chaotic Oscillations Suppression in Chua's Circuit
2021 IV International Conference on Control in Technical Systems (CTS), 2021This paper investigates Chua's circuit behavior that in order to suppress chaotic oscillations uses a combined algorithm of adaptation-parametric and signal one-and an inertialess adaptation algorithm. For comparison purposes, we consider a system with a modal controller.

Suppression of quasiperiodic thermoacoustic oscillations via genetic programming
INTER-NOISE and NOISE-CON Congress and Conference Proceedings, 2023We use genetic programming (GP) to discover data-driven control laws for the suppression of quasiperiodic oscillations in a prototypical thermoacoustic system. We rank the control laws based on a predefined cost function that accounts for the pressure amplitude and the actuation effort.

Spurious-mode suppression in optoelectronic oscillators
2010 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium, 2010Optoelectronic oscillators (OEOs) are promising low phase noise radio frequency sources. However, the long fiber loops required for a high Oscillator Q also lead to spurious modes (spurs) spaced too narrowly to be filtered by standard electronic devices.

Oscillator design for suppressing spurious signals
IEEE Microwave Magazine, 2007This article has shed some light upon typical problems of the oscillator design. A number of additional signals can be excited by the oscillator's active kernel due to parasitic effects. These interfere with the projected oscillation frequency or with its harmonics and produce a number of disturbing spurious signals.

Chatter Suppression via an Oscillating Cutter
Manufacturing Science and Engineering: Volume 2, 1997Abstract Chatter is one of the critical issues in a machining process since it deteriorates the surface quality of a workpiece and reduces machining efficiency. A new method is developed to suppress chatter in which an oscillating cutter is used to machine the workpiece through a stepping motor and a transmission mechanism so as to vary ...

Suppression of solar line neutrino oscillations
Physical Review D, 1991Neutrino flavor oscillations can cause seasonal'' variations in the flux of {sup 7}Be and {ital p}+{ital e}{sup {minus}}+{ital p} ({ital pep}) solar line neutrinos. This may be tested in a next-generation solar-neutrino experiment. An analytic expression for the suppression of {ital pep} neutrino oscillations from the line width is calculated.

Soot suppression by acoustic oscillated combustion
Fuel, 1998The soot suppression of acetylene diffusion flames by applying acoustic oscillation was studied experimentally. The soot emission decreased by increasing the sound pressure level and lowering the frequency of the acoustic oscillation. The efficiency of soot suppression can be related with acoustic Reynolds number, Re∗.

Circuit arrangement for suppressing oscillations
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1989A circuit arrangement for suppressing oscillations, such as acoustic feedback in a hearing aid, has a circuit which recognizes the presence of oscillations in a useful signal, an oscillatory frequency search circuit, and an oscillation modifying circuit controlled by the search circuit.

Suppressing power oscillation based on VSG
2017 IEEE 2nd Information Technology, Networking, Electronic and Automation Control Conference (ITNEC), 2017To stabilize the voltage and frequency, virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control of renewable energy interfaced inverter is recommended. However, traditional VSG control will lead to unbalanced three-phase current and power oscillation under unbalanced grid voltage. To solve these problems, an improved control strategy is proposed. Firstly, problems
