Suppression of Numerical Oscillations in the EMTP
IEEE Power Engineering Review, 1989When compared to other possible integration schemes for the EMTP, the trapezoidal rule of integration presents very good overall characteristics in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and run-off stability. During certain system conditions, however, the solution with trapezoidal may present sustained numerical oscillations (Fig. 1(a)).

Suppressing Chaos in Uncertain Nonautonomous Oscillators
2014 UKSim-AMSS 16th International Conference on Computer Modelling and Simulation, 2014This paper investigates the control and suppression of chaos in nonautonomous oscillators with uncertain and/or unknown parameters. A nonlinear second order Duffing oscillator that has a single harmonic excitation and two uncertain parameters is used to exemplify the suggested techniques.

On the suppression of limit-cycle oscillations
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1968A procedure is presented for the suppression of limit-cycle oscillations in unity-feedback control systems which have an on-off type nonlinearity in cascade with a linear transfer function. The procedure is based on the introduction of a minor loop into the system.

A method for suppressing cardiogenic oscillations in impedance pneumography
Physiological Measurement, 2011The transthoracic electrical impedance signal originates from the cardiac and respiratory functions. In impedance pneumography (IP) the lung function is assessed and the cardiac impedance signal, cardiogenic oscillations (CGOs), is considered an additive noise in the measured signal.

Suppression of oscillations in confined disk-stabilised flames
25th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting, 1987Combustion oscillations in confined axisymmetric flames stabilized behind a bluff body in a uniform duct are compared for ducts with acoustically open and closed upstream ends, with the upstream duct length as a variable. The influence of bends in the upstream duct is examined and shown to be small.

Suppression of solar line neutrino oscillations
Physical Review D, 1991Neutrino flavor oscillations can cause seasonal'' variations in the flux of {sup 7}Be and {ital p}+{ital e}{sup {minus}}+{ital p} ({ital pep}) solar line neutrinos. This may be tested in a next-generation solar-neutrino experiment. An analytic expression for the suppression of {ital pep} neutrino oscillations from the line width is calculated.
