Circuit arrangement for suppressing oscillations

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1989
A circuit arrangement for suppressing oscillations, such as acoustic feedback in a hearing aid, has a circuit which recognizes the presence of oscillations in a useful signal, an oscillatory frequency search circuit, and an oscillation modifying circuit controlled by the search circuit.

Clonazepam suppresses oscillations in rat thalamic slices

Neurocomputing, 2001
Abstract Hypersynchrony of spindle-like thalamic oscillations may contribute to thalamic dysrhythmias including generalized absence epilepsy. Here we show that, as predicted by previous modeling studies, enhancement of inhibition between thalamic reticular (RE) cells by clonazepam suppresses evoked oscillations in rat thalamic slices.

Touchscreen crane control interfaces with oscillation suppression

52nd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2013
It is often very difficult for human operators to control cranes due to their slow responses and lightly-damped payload swing. The control task is made even harder by awkward control interfaces. Portable touchscreen devices offer the opportunity to improve the control interface by replacing traditional push-button pendent and joystick-based controllers.

Suppression and revival of oscillation in indirectly coupled limit cycle oscillators

Physics Letters A, 2016
Abstract We study the phenomena of suppression and revival of oscillations in a system of limit cycle oscillators coupled indirectly via a dynamic local environment. The dynamics of the environment is assumed to decay exponentially with time. We show that for appropriate coupling strength, the decay parameter of the environment plays a crucial role ...

Relaxation oscillation suppression in intra-cavity optical parametric oscillators

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics/International Quantum Electronics Conference, 2009
We describe a passive technique for the suppression of the relaxation oscillations exhibited by optical parametric oscillators pumped internal to laser cavities where gain media with long upper state lifetimes, such as Nd:YAG/YLF/YVO 4 , are involved.

Novel strategy for suppressing the flutter oscillations of aircraft wings

AIAA Journal, 2000
A new strategy, based on the nonlinear phenomenon of saturation, is proposed for controlling the flutter of a wing. The concept is illustrated by means of an example with a rather flexible, high-aspect wing of the type found on such vehicles as high-altitude long-endurance aircraft and sailplanes.

Enhancement and Suppression of the Plasma Oscillation by an Externally Launched Oscillation

Beiträge aus der Plasmaphysik, 1981
AbstractIn a beam‐plasma system generating a rather coherent oscillation under a quiescent and stable plasma condition, interaction between the oscillation and an artificially launched oscillation is investigated. It is shown that the latter exerts both synchronization and cross‐modulation effects on the former.

Transversal parasitic oscillation suppression in high gain pulsed Fe2+:ZnSe laser at room temperature

, 2020
The performance of a room temperature high gain solid-state Fe2+:ZnSe laser was investigated. Causes and affecting factors of Transversal Parasitic Oscillation (TPO) were analyzed theoretically.

Analysis and Suppression of Sub-Synchronous Oscillation of Photovoltaic Power Generation Based on Damping Torque Method

IEEE transactions on industry applications
Aiming at the problem that the mechanism of sub-synchronous oscillation in photovoltaic power generation connected to weak AC system is unknown in low frequency band, a small signal model of photovoltaic power generation connected to weak AC system is ...
