Epilepsy Modeling Based on EEG Data Using Neural Singular ODE Systems

open access: yesJournal of Optimization, Differential Equations and Their Applications
To model highly oscillatory processes (for example, processes determined by the rhythms of electroencephalograms (EEG) measured at certain points in the cerebral cortex), a special system of neural singular ordinary differential equations (NSODE), the ...

Computation of the exponential function of matrices by a formula without oscillatory integrals on infinite intervals

open access: yesJapan Journal of Industrial and Applied Mathematics
Abstract We propose a quadrature-based formula for computing the exponential function of matrices with a non-oscillatory integral on an infinite interval and an oscillatory integral on a finite interval. In the literature, existing quadrature-based formulas are based on the inverse Laplace transform or the Fourier transform.

Mono‐Material Polydisulfides for Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tapes With Closed‐Loop Recyclability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A high‐performance pressure‐sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape is developed where both the adhesive layer and plastic backing layer can be recycled back to monomer in a closed‐loop cycle. Both layers of the tape are composed of analogous polydisulfide copolymers using only two unique monomers, thus giving it a mono‐material design and enabling recycling of ...

Exploring Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos in the Modified Korteweg–de Vries–Zakharov–Kuznetsov Equation with NARX Neural Networks

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications
This work examines the nonlinear dynamics of a generalized Korteweg–de Vries–Zakharov–Kuznetsov equation, a model that appears in plasma physics, shallow water flows, and nonlinear wave propagation.

Memristive‐Gated RC‐Delay Synaptic Transistors for Time‐Encoded Analog in‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Memristive‐Gated Transistor for Time‐Encoded Analog In‐Memory Computing — By exploiting the RC delay of a self‐rectifying interface‐type memristor, nonlinear I–V distortion is structurally bypassed, enabling 3‐bit nonvolatile memory, spike‐timing‐based analog encoding, and hardware‐calibrated reservoir‐computing validation within a unified device ...

Comparison of whole-brain task-modulated functional connectivity methods for fMRI task connectomics

open access: yesCommunications Biology
Higher brain functions require flexible integration of information across widely distributed brain regions depending on the task context. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has provided substantial insight into large-scale ...

Roll‐to‐Roll Processable EC/TC Hybrid Smart Windows Driven by a Bidirectional Dual‐Chromic Polymer Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a scalable EC/TC hybrid smart window using a DCPE that enables tunable solar modulation (ΔTsol:15–43%), fast electrochromic switching (<90 s), and strong thermal blocking (10–14°C reduction). HPMC improves thermal stability, while an optimized ISL enhances EC performance.

On pairwise comparison matrices that can be made consistent by the modification of a few elements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Pairwise comparison matrices are often used in Multi-attribute Decision Making forweighting the attributes or for the evaluation of the alternatives with respect to a criteria.

Gradient‐Conductivity Architecture Enables Synchronous Enhancement of Sensitivity and Detection Range in Multifunctional All‐Paper Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient‐engineered all‐paper sensor is fabricated by integrating MXene and in situ grown AgNPs within hierarchical cellulose networks. The device breaks the sensitivity–detection range trade‐off through cascaded conductive pathways, enabling ultrahigh pressure sensitivity, humidity–pressure decoupled dual‐mode sensing, and outstanding EMI shielding,
