Mechanism of diuresis during negative pressure breathing
The diuresis associated with negative pressure breathing in moderately hydrated man is found to be due chiefly to an increase in the excretion of free water; solute excretion rises slightly and consistently.

Abstract figure legend Central respiratory chemoreceptors (CRCs) are critical for maintaining normal systemic levels of pH and PCO2. A CRC must respond to pH via intrinsic mechanisms. Here we quantified intrinsic chemosensitivity of medullary 5‐HT neurones and retrotrapezoid nucleus (RTN) neurones using acute dissociation.

Disrupted Vestibular Nuclei Neuron Development in a Chick Model for Congenital Vestibular Disorders
ABSTRACT Children with syndromic, congenital vestibular disorders (CVDs) form a sac‐like inner ear with missing or truncated semicircular canals and experience delayed motor development with lifelong challenges to maintain posture and balance. How the abnormal inner ear affects downstream central vestibular neural circuitry has not been investigated ...

ABSTRACT Background Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) serves as a medium for nutrient delivery and waste clearance. The T1 relaxation rate, R1, can be used to measure the concentration of intrinsic solutes and extrinsic contrast agents. Purpose To implement a method for R1 mapping and segmentation of CSF and to use this method to explore how R1 of CSF relates ...

Fungal disease management in cotton using plant protection products: An Australian perspective
Cotton disease management requires evidence‐driven use of plant protection products. Progress hinges on integrating chemistry, diagnostics, stewardship and sustainability to build resilient production systems. Abstract Cotton production faces persistent challenges from pathogens that compromise plant establishment, yield, and fibre quality.

This review systematically elucidates the multifactorial anti‐aging mechanisms of extracellular vesicles (EVs). By bridging fundamental biology with advanced bioengineering, scalable manufacturing, and clinical translation, it establishes a comprehensive framework for developing next‐generation EVs‐based precision nanotherapeutics to combat systemic ...

Renal tubular acidosis in a mule mare
Summary Renal tubular acidosis (RTA) in horses is differentiated into type I (distal) and type II (proximal) forms. We report the diagnostic evaluation and treatment of type I RTA in a 13‐year‐old mule mare that was referred because of lethargy and inappetence of several weeks' duration as well as lack of manure, anorexia and mild colic for 3 days.

Particularităţile imunologice şi biochimice ale hidrosalpinxului la femeile cu infertilitate
The studies carried out have shown the considerable change of biochemical composition of tubal secretion in case of hydrosalpinx: increase of pH and bicarbonates level, decrease of osmolarity, concentration of calcium, glucose and lactate. The results we
