Osteonectin in osteosarcomas: A marker for differential diagnosis and/or prognosis?
Seventy-five osteosarcomas at various grades of histologic differentiation were investigated for evidence of osteonectin. According to the results of the study, osteonectin was present in all osteosarcomas. An association between the intensity of the osteonectin antibody reaction and prognosis could not be established.

Alveolar Bone Regeneration: Smart Biomaterials and Physical Stimulation
ABSTRACT Large‐area bone loss from disease, trauma, or congenital defects requires surgical procedures and bone grafting. Alveolar bone loss from severe periodontal disease and non‐unions often demands immediate grafting. Treating large alveolar bone defects using grafts and substitutes is challenging due to the complex oral environment, infection ...

ABSTRACT Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis and fractures, and denosumab, a non‐kidney‐excreted antiresorptive medication, represents a viable alternative to bisphosphonates for osteoporosis treatment in patients with T2DM. This study aimed to investigate the association among denosumab adherence, renal

Galectin‐9high Neutrophils Exacerbate Radiation‐Induced Frailty
EccDNA shedding after skin radiation injury activates the JAK1/2‐STAT1 pathway in splenic GMP cells to induce the production of GAL‐9high neutrophils. This unique population of hyperactive GAL‐9high neutrophils is identified with characteristics of elevated NETs and IFN‐γ, etc.

Lead inhibits secretion of osteonectin/SPARC without significantly altering collagen or Hsp47 production in osteoblast-like ROS 17/2.8 cells [PDF]
In an effort to better understand the consequences of lead (Pb2+) on skeletal growth, the effects of Pb2+ were investigated using ROS 17/2.8 bone-like cells in vitro.

Numerical cognition arises from conserved mechanisms linking genes, neural circuits and behaviour. Using zebrafish as a tractable model, behavioural assays, whole‐brain imaging and genetic analyses can be integrated to identify neural and molecular bases of quantity discrimination. This framework provides a platform for studying numerical cognition and

Abstract This in vitro study evaluated the effect of hydroalcoholic propolis extract (HPE) as a collagen cross‐linking agent for preserving the dentin–adhesive interface. Dentin beams from human third molars were demineralized with 10% phosphoric acid and assigned to five treatments: distilled water (control), 6.5% grape seed extract (GSE), and HPE at ...
