Teriflunomide Attenuates Demyelination and Enhances Remyelination in Organotypic Brain Slice Cultures Through Modulation of Glial Cell Dynamics

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 4, April 2026.
In an organotypic cerebellar slice culture (OSC) ex vivo demyelination model, teriflunomide has been shown to positively affect myelin preservation during demyelination and enhance remyelination. This is hypothesized as being achieved by modulating the dynamics of glial cells.

Perivascular SPP1 Drives Microglial Synaptic Engulfment After Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 4, April 2026.
BBB damage post ischemic stroke triggers perivascular SPP1 release, which drives microglia‐mediated synapse engulfment in the ischemic penumbra of the MCAO/R mouse model. ABSTRACT Objective Following ischemic stroke (IS), activated microglia activity could contribute to neuronal injury and blood–brain barrier (BBB) disruption.

Path Analysis Results on Bone Markers That Influence Accelerated Bone Remodeling: An Experimental Study

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective We examined the effectiveness of combining nanochitosan Black Soldier Fly (BSF) pupae and demineralized dentin matrix (DDM) for accelerated bone remodeling by path analysis of osteoblasts, OPG, osteocalcin (OCN), osteoclasts, and RANKL.

Photobiomodulation With 976 nm Diode Laser Enhances Osteoblastic Differentiation of Saos‐2 Cells Cultured on Collagen Membranes

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Laser photobiomodulation (PBM) influences cellular proliferation, morphology, and differentiation. Collagen membranes provide a bioactive scaffold that supports osteoblastic behavior; however, the effects of PBM on preosteoblastic Saos‐2 cells cultured on these membranes remain unclear.
