On the Effectiveness of OTFS for Joint Radar Parameter Estimation and Communication

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2020
We consider a joint radar parameter estimation and communication system using orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation. The scenario is motivated by vehicular applications where a vehicle (or the infrastructure) equipped with a mono-static radar

OTFS Versus OFDM: Which is Superior in Multiuser LEO Satellite Communications [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications
Orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation, a delay-Doppler (DD) domain communication scheme exhibiting strong robustness against the Doppler shifts, has the potentials to be employed in LEO satellite communications.

Vapor–Liquid Equilibrium Measurements of Difluoromethane + [Emim]OTf, Difluoromethane + [Bmim]OTf, Difluoroethane + [Emim]OTf, and Difluoroethane + [Bmim]OTf Systems

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2011
Solubility behaviors of binary difluoromethane (HFC-32) and 1,1-difluoroethane (HFC-152a) systems with ionic liquids (ILs) 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium trifluoromethanesulfonate ([Emim]OTf) and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium trifluoromethanesulfonate ([Bmim]OTf) have been studied by using an isothermal synthetic apparatus at temperatures (273.15, 298.15 ...

On the Doppler Squint Effect in OTFS Systems Over Doubly-Dispersive Channels: Modeling and Evaluation [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2023
Extensive work has demonstrated the excellent performance of orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation in high-mobility scenarios. Time-variant wideband channel estimation serves as one of the key compositions of OTFS receivers since the data ...

IRS-Assisted OTFS System: Design and Analysis

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2023
Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is a recent technology garnering lots of attention amongst the wireless communication research community due to its ability to improve the channel conditions extravagantly.

Practical Pulse-Shaping Waveforms for Reduced-Cyclic-Prefix OTFS

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2019
In this paper, we model $M\times N$ orthogonal time frequency space modulation (OTFS) over a $P$-path doubly dispersive channel with delays less than $\tau _{\max }$ and Doppler shifts in the range $(\nu _{\min },\nu _{\max })$.

Synthesis of the Uranium Triflates U(OTf)3 and U(OTf)4 – Crystal Structure of [U(OTf)2(OPPh3)4][OTf]

European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, 1999
Reactions of pure triflic acid (TfOH) with UH3 at 20 °C and with U or UCl3 at 120 °C afforded U(OTf)3 (1), which was transformed into U(OTf)4 (2) by reaction with TfOH at 180 °C; 2 was also synthesized by treating UCl4 with TfOH at 120 °C. The yields were in excess of 90%.

Doppler Interference Analysis for OTFS-Based LEO Satellite System

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications
Low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite system has revolutionized the way to provide wireless seamless access on a global scale. One of the primary limitations is the low data rates resulting from Doppler shifts induced by the high mobility of LEO satellites ...

2D Off-Grid Decomposition and SBL Combination for OTFS Channel Estimation

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2023
Orthogonal time-frequency space (OTFS) is a promising technique for high mobility wireless communications, as it approaches a sparse representation of doubly-selective fading channel and can obtain delay-Doppler (DD) diversity gain. However, in practical

Channel Estimation in OTFS Systems by Leveraging Differential Modulation

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology
By introducing orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation, the challenge of channel estimation (CE) in high-speed scenarios is alleviated. Nonetheless, the existing embedded pilot-based CE in OTFS systems significantly consumes user equipment (UE)
