Uniform Microscale Thermoresponsive Liposomes for Controlled Release Above Body Temperature

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Uniform thermoresponsive liposomes are generated using a scalable double‐emulsion microfluidic approach coupled with accelerated solvent extraction. The resulting liposomes remain stable at physiological temperature but undergo abrupt rupture and cargo release at 41°C–45°C, providing a versatile platform for thermally triggered controlled release in ...

Cancer Vaccine Development: Toward Artificial Intelligence‐Assisted Personalized Cell Membrane Nanovaccine

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Cancer nanovaccines have emerged as promising alternatives to conventional cancer vaccines, which have shown limited clinical efficacy. In particular, cell membrane nanoparticle‐based nanovaccines can offer high biocompatibility and immunogenicity while preserving tumor antigens, including antigen repertoires.

Polymersome‐Enabled Multimodal Delivery of Tobramycin and Doripenem for Targeted Eradication of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Biofilms in Chronic Rhinosinusitis

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of diffusion‐based versus pH‐triggered drug release within a bacterial biofilm. In diffusion‐based systems, drug cargo is gradually released independent of local pH, resulting in rapid burst release and reduced sustained concentrations.

Active pH Modulation by Proton Channel‐Peptide Nucleic Acid Complex for Effective siRNA Endosomal Escape

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A bioinspired siRNA nanocarrier is engineered by integrating an influenza A M2 proton channel with siRNA through a peptide nucleic acid linker on liposome surfaces. Active proton transport amplifies osmotic stress within endosomes, triggering membrane rupture and cytosolic release.

Reverse‐Engineered Lipid Nanoparticles Harness Protein Corona Formation for Cytokine Sequestration and Combination Immunomodulatory Therapy

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Bioinspired triglyceride‐ceramide lipid nanoparticles were reverse‐engineered from cytokine‐sequestering plant‐derived nanoparticles to capture pathological inflammatory mediators through protein corona formation. Dexamethasone‐loaded TCNPs combine extracellular cytokine sequestration with intracellular immunomodulation, reducing IL‐6, TNF‐α, and NF‐κΒ
