Geologic investigations of outer planets satellites [PDF]
Four tests are examined: (1) investigation of volcanism on Io; Interim results of thermal and structural modeling of volcanism on Io are presented, (2) a study of the ancient heavily cratered regions on Ganymede, (3) a geologic comparison of the ...

Outer planet magnetospheres: a tutorial [PDF]
Outer planetary magnetospheres represent giant laboratories for testing our ideas of how magnetospheres behave. In this tutorial review we examine the role of external and internal pressure in determining the size and shape of the magnetosphere. We examine the relative roles of reconnection with the solar wind magnetic field and the mass addition ...

This work utilizes rapid electrodeposition and a competitive ligand to tailor crystal fragment/ amorphous MOF structures while Ni incorporation modulates the Co electronic environment. Their synergistic control over morphology and electronic structure accelerates reconstruction into active (oxy)hydroxides, lowers the Co3+/Co4+ oxidation potential ...

Water Enrichment from Pebble Drift in Disks with Gap-forming Planets
Volatiles like H _2 O are present as ice in solids in the cold outer regions of protoplanetary disks and as vapor in the warm inner regions within the water snow line.

Inspired by the regulation mechanism of window blinds, this study designs an electromagnetic wave‐absorbing metamaterial. By introducing the magneto‐electric coupling concept and integrating it with an artificial intelligence‐based data‐driven collaborative optimization strategy, the material optimizes impedance matching performance and enhances loss ...

A Resonant Beginning for the Solar System’s Terrestrial Planets
In the past two decades, transit surveys have revealed a class of planets with thick atmospheres—sub-Neptunes—that must have completed their accretion in protoplanet disks.

A cascade‐responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF/GelMA hydrogel is engineered as a “skeleton–backpack” platform for extensive tracheal repair. The MXene framework scavenges postoperative ROS and converts NIR light into mild hyperthermia, while the Cu‐MOF component provides pH/NIR‐responsive Cu2+ dosing for infection control, angiogenesis, and chondrogenesis.
