Suppression of Incoming High-Frequency Overvoltage in Transformer Coils

High-frequency overvoltages are most dangerous for the insulation of transformer coils. It is because high-frequency pulse voltage creates an uneven distribution of voltage across the windings. The coil's first turns receive a disproportionately high voltage drop, leading to the inter-turn circuit.
