A case is reported of renal failure in a boy subsequent to recurrent calcium oxalate urinary calculi. The post mortem disclosed widespread deposits in the tissues of calcium oxalate crystals. These were particularly prominent in the kidneys and bone marrow. It is suggested that this is the end result of an "inborn error of metabolism" in

Hand manifestations of oxalosis
The Journal of Hand Surgery, 1993Oxalosis is an unusual metabolic disease that results either from an inherited hepatic enzyme deficiency or as the result of poor oxalate clearance during chronic hemodialysis. We present two cases of oxalosis and describe the hand manifestations of this condition and their treatment.
