Synthesis of functionalised oxazoles and bis-oxazoles 1

Journal of the Chemical Society, Perkin Transactions 1, 1998
A new method for the synthesis of oxazoles, and in particular chiral non-racemic oxazoles derived from amino acids, has been developed. Thus, rhodium(II) catalysed reaction of diazocarbonyl compounds 6 and 11 in the presence of amides 8 and 10 results in regioselective insertion of the carbenoid into the amide N–H bond with formation of the β-carbonyl ...

Synthesis, Antibacterial Activity and Molecular Docking Study of a Series of 1,3-Oxazole-Quinoxaline Amine Hybrids

Polycyclic aromatic compounds (Print), 2020
A series of 1,3-oxazole-quinoxaline amine hybrids were prepared successfully through a copper-free Sonogashira coupling followed by heteroannulation in a one-pot process.

Visible light‐mediated photocatalyzed synthesis of oxazole via intermolecular CN and CO bond formation

Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry
An efficient visible light‐mediated, eosin Y‐catalyzed synthesis of oxazole has been developed from benzil with primary amines, that providing a straightforward, green, and environmentally benign access to a wide variety of substituted oxazole‐2‐amines ...

Oxazoles

2008
This chapter is a literature review of oxazole chemistry covering the period from 1995 to 2006. It includes experimental structural methods for oxazole characterizations, a brief discussion on the thermodynamic aspects of the heterocycle, and a detailed section on the reactivity and the synthesis of the heterocycle.

Synthesis of Oxazoline and Oxazole Derivatives by Hypervalent-Iodine-Mediated Oxidative Cycloaddition Reactions

Synthesis, 2020
Organohypervalent iodine reagents are widely used for the preparation of various oxazolines, oxazoles, isoxazolines, and isoxazoles. In the formation of these heterocyclic compounds, hypervalent iodine species can serve as the activating reagents for ...

Studies of oxazoles

Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1967
Mercuration of oxazole derivatives is studied. As a result mono- and disubstituted mercury derivatives, hitherto not described in the literature, are obtained. The ability of the oxazole ring to undergo mercuration decreases in the order C-5>C-4 ≥C-2.

Synthesis of perfluorinated oxazoles

Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1989
AbstractThe defluorination of the perfluoroacylimines (I) in the presence of metallic zinc gives the 2‐perfluoroalkyl‐substituted oxazoles (II) as the result of an intramolecular cyclization.
