Anti‐Oxazolone Hybridomas and Strain Distribution of the Oxazolone Idiotype

Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, 1983
Antibodies produced in the primary response to the hupten 2‐phenyl oxazolone (OX) express a eruss‐reactive idiotype in BALB/c and DBA/2 mice. We studied the response in hyperimmunized mice, using ascites produced after multiple immunizations with an OX conjugate and by generating monoclonal antibodies. A competitive radioimmunoassay was developed using

Benzylidene-Oxazolones as Molecular Photoswitches

Organic Letters, 2012
The synthesis and photochemical study of a family of molecular switches inspired by the green fluorescent protein (GFP) chromophore is presented. These compounds can be easily synthesized, and their photophysical properties may be tuned. Due to their efficient photoisomerization and high stability, these compounds can be switched on/off by using light ...

4‐Pyranyliden‐oxazolone‐(5)

5‐Oxazolones, IV. Reactions of 5(4H)‐oxazolones with triphenylphosphonium methylides

Chemische Berichte, 1988
AbstractThe Wittig reaction of ethyl (triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetate (2a) with the carbonyl group of trisubstituted 5(4H)‐oxazolones 1a–c afforded ethyl 5(4H)‐oxazolylideneacetates 3a–c and triphenylphosphane oxide. Starting from oxazolones 1d–i and ylide 2a, methyleneoxazoles 3d, e and ethyl 5‐oxazoleacetates 4a–f were obtained besides ylides 5a–e

The enzymology of oxazolone and thioamide synthesis in methanobactin

2021
Methanobactins are ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptidic (RiPP) natural products that are known for their ability to chelate copper ions. Crucial for their high copper affinity is a pair of bidentate ligands comprising a nitrogen-containing heterocycle and an adjacent thioamide or enethiol group.

Structure and properties of oxazolones

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1958
1. On the basis of consideration of the chemical and physical properties of unsaturated oxazolones, it is shown that the formation of true or pseudooxazolones depends upon the substituents of the oxazolone ring in positions 2 and 4, a structure with the most highly conjugated system being formed regardless of the method of formation.

Palladium-Catalyzed Direct Alkenylation of 2-Oxazolones: An Entry to 3,4,5-Trisubstituted 2-Oxazolones

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2013
Described herein is a novel method for the synthesis of 3,4,5-trisubstituted 2-oxazolones featuring the first Pd-catalyzed dehydrogenative alkenylation of 2-oxazolones, which is realized by employing 10 mol % of Pd(OAc)2 as the catalyst and the use of readily available Cu(OAc)2 as the oxidant.
