Synthetic Strategies for Activity‐Based Probes to Decode Ubiquitin‐Like Modifiers

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 30, 13 August 2026.
ABSTRACT Ubiquitin‐like proteins (Ubls) such as SUMO, NEDD8, ISG15, URM1, UFM1, FAT10, ATG8/ATG12, and FUBI are essential regulators of cellular homeostasis, controlling processes from protein stability and trafficking to immune signaling and autophagy.

Photochemical reactions of substituted 2(3H)-oxazolones with carbonyl compounds

open access: yes, 1982
Photocycloaddition of carbonyl compounds of various triplet energy to 3-acetyl-2(3H)-oxazolone (V) and 3-acetyl-4,5-dimethyl-2(3H)-oxazolone (VI) afforded oxetanes XIII-XX. Other investigated 2(3H)-oxazolones VII-IX gave no oxetanes.

The Relationship Between (Endo)cannabinoids, the Microbiome and Melanoma

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 14, Issue 4, August 2026.
CB1 and CB2 receptors are widely distributed in both normal and cancerous cells. Cannabinoids have a positive impact on reducing tumor growth in mice. A positive relationship exists between CB2 receptors and survival in skin melanoma. However, there is a negative impact on non‐small cell lung cancer and colon cancer, whereas a higher association of CB1

The Zwitterionic Imidazolium Salt: First Used for Synthesis of 4-Arylidene-2-phenyl-5(4H)-oxazolones under Solvent-Free Conditions

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2013
The zwitterionic imidazolium salt was prepared and characterized by 1H NMR. It was first used for synthesis of azlactones via Erlenmeyer synthesis from aromatic aldehydes and hippuric acid under solvent-free conditions.

Contact sensitisers activate keratinocytes and induce cytotoxicity via Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1 in allergic contact dermatitis

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 16, Page 4610-4627, August 2026.
Abstract Background and Purpose Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is a frequent inflammatory skin disease with limited therapeutic options. While neuronal Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) has been implicated in ACD, the role of keratinocyte TRPA1 remains unclear.
