Oxime Catalysis by Freezing

open access: yesBioconjugate Chemistry, 2015
Chemical reaction rates are generally decreased at lower temperatures. Here, we report that an oxime ligation reaction in water at neutral pH is accelerated by freezing. The freezing method and its rate effect on oxime ligation are systematically studied on a peptide model system, and applied to a larger chemokine protein, containing a single acetyl ...

Oximes

2022
This chapter discusses the synthesis and properties of compounds with N-N bonds. It looks into the synthesis and reaction of hydrazines, hydrazides, hydrazones, diazo compounds, and azides. The N-N-containing functional groups undergo vital interconversions which have great synthetic value.

Conversion of an oxime into the corresponding thio-oxime

Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1976
The thio-oximate anion derived from benzo-phenone oxime is prepared in solution by the action of sodium t-butoxide on N-diphenylmethylene-S-phenyl-carbamoylsulphimide, itself prepared by thermal rearrangement of the isomeric N-diphenylmethylene-O-phenylthiocarbamoylhydroxylamine.

The Oximes and Organophosphate Poisoning

Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1962
Since the insects began fighting back in 1947,1the war against them has demanded an increasingly diversified armamentarium, and the organic phosphate insecticides have played an important part in the battle. Unfortunately, this group of compounds, an outgrowth of wartime investigation of the chemically related nerve gases, are poisonous to man as well ...

Bacteriostatic Action of Oximes

Nature, 1948
THE action of numerous inorganic and organic substances on the growth of bacteria has been investigated in the hope of demonstrating properties useful either in the laboratory for selective and enrichment methods for isolation, or clinically for the treatment of the diseases which they cause.

Oxime and Oxime Ether Derivatives of 1,4‐Benzothiazine Related to Oxiconazole

ChemMedChem, 2007
AbstractThe synthesis, in vitro antifungal activity, and molecular docking experiments of some oxime and oxime ether derivatives of azole 1,4‐benzothiazine are reported herein, with the aim of evaluating the influence of a partially constrained scaffold that is structurally related to Oxiconazole and bearing the 1,4‐benzothiazine moiety, on the ...
