open access: yesCHIMIA, 1980
The chemical treatment of photographic effluents (eg. oxydation, precipitation) increases the production costs of photographic laboratories and should therefore be considered only as the last step of a series of measures to abate pollution.

LiVGe2O6, an anomalous quasi 1D, $S = 1$ system, as revealed by NMR

open access: yes, 2000
We report the results of $^{7}$Li nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) studies of LiVGe$_{2}$O$_{6}$, a quasi one--dimensional spin $S = 1$ model system, at low temperatures.

Electrokinetic analysis reveals common conditioner ingredient interactions with human hair

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Novel electrokinetic analysis reveals how cationic surfactant deposition on hair is influenced by chain length and counterion mobility. Longer‐chain surfactants show superior adsorption through enhanced van der Waals interactions, while chloride counterions enable stronger electrostatic interactions.

π‐Expanded BODIPYs and Related Analogs as Long‐Wavelength Absorbing Photosensitizers for Green Energy Conversion

open access: yesChemNanoMat, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
The versatile modification capability of BODIPYs and the related analogs with excellent photophysical properties allows chemists to propose photosensitizers applicable to energy‐related materials. This review mainly focuses on the π‐extension strategy for achieving sunlight‐harvesting capabilities. The insights and challenges for future research on red

A compact design for the Josephson mixer: the lumped element circuit

open access: yes, 2015
We present a compact and efficient design in terms of gain, bandwidth and dynamical range for the Josephson mixer, the superconducting circuit performing three-wave mixing at microwave frequencies. In an all lumped-element based circuit with galvanically

The stability of body weight and composition requires an equilibrium between the intakes and outputs of energy and macronutrients. Fat mass depends on the equilibrium between the input and output of lipid but also on the metabolic fate of lipids ...

Reaktivität von Koordinationsverbindungen XX : Redoxverhaiten von Oxo-3,5-disulfobrenzcatechinato-vanadium(V)

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1969
The oxydation of pyrocatechole-3,5-disulfonic acid by vanadium(V) in acidic solution has been studied spectrophotometrically. Analysis of kinetic data suggests two parallel reaction paths: (a) An initially formed intensely coloured VO2+ substrate ...

Modelling the Impact of Drained and Undrained Conditions on GHG Emissions in Croplands: A Case Study in Lincolnshire, UK

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, Volume 74, Issue 4, Page 1751-1765, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Agricultural drainage plays a crucial role in land management and crop productivity but significantly impacts greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This study examines the effects of drained and undrained soil conditions on GHG emissions in croplands via a case study in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom.
