Supersymmetry breaking, brane dynamics and Swampland conjectures

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We investigate interactions between branes of various dimensions, both charged and uncharged, in three non-supersymmetric string models. These include the USp(32) and U(32) orientifold projections of the type IIB and type 0B strings, as well as the SO(16)

Intersecting M-branes and bound states [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
In this paper, we construct multi-scalar, multi-center $p$-brane solutions in toroidally compactified M-theory. We use these solutions to show that all supersymmetric $p$-branes can be viewed as bound states of certain basic building blocks, namely $p ...

Dual Functions of Dietary Rubber Seed Oil Supplementation: Enriching N‐3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids and Enhancing Antioxidant Capacity in Pekin Ducks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

Noncommutative and Ordinary Super Yang-Mills on (D$(p-2)$, D$p$) Bound States [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We study properties of (D$(p-2)$, D$p$) nonthreshold bound states ($2 \le p \le 6 $) in the dual gravity description. These bound states can be viewed as D$p$-branes with a nonzero NS $B$ field of rank two.

Effects of Lycium barbarum Residue Substituting Dietary Maize on Fecal Microbiota and Growth Performance of Crossbred Simmental Cattle

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
The bioactive substances we extracted from Lycium barbarum residue (LBR) have a typical polysaccharide structure. When 1.80% LBR was used to replace maize in the diet, the average daily gain of rossbred Simmental was significantly increased, and anti‐inflammatory ability was improved. In addition, LBR improved the fecal microbial composition, increased

Comprehensive Characterization of Acer truncatum Leaf Extract: Identification of Systemic Metabolites and Effects on Performance, Antioxidant Status, and Intestinal Microbiota in Laying Hens

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary A. truncatum leaf extract is absorbed and improves laying performance in aged hens by enhancing systemic antioxidant capacity and modulating the gut microbiota. ABSTRACT The demand for natural feed additives is considerably increasing in the antibiotic‐free feed era.

Three-block p-branes in various dimensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
It is shown that a Lagrangian, describing the interaction of the gravitation field with the dilaton and the antisymmetric tensor in arbitrary dimension spacetime, admits an isotropic p-brane solution consisting of three blocks.

Production of bacterial cellulose by Acetobacter okinawensis AC2 and its application as a bioadsorbent for azo dye removal

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract Bacterial cellulose (BC) is a naturally occurring polysaccharide that has attracted considerable interest in various fields, including biological and biomedical applications, due to its biodegradability, biocompatibility, high degree of crystallinity, and outstanding physicochemical characteristics. It is widely used in several industries such
