The Effect of P-Cymene on Glucose, Insulin, Antioxidant Power, and the Level of AKT Gene mRNA in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetes Model in Male Wistar Rats [PDF]
Background and Aim: Diabetes is a main metabolic disorder in middle-aged and older people. Oxidative stress can interfere with insulin signaling and are directly relevant to the incidence of diabetes.

Dehydrative Allylic Amination in Water via a Polymer‐Supported Ruthenium Catalyst
A green and rapid synthesis of allylamines is achieved using a polymer‐supported ruthenium catalyst. This dehydrative reaction between allyl alcohols and amines proceeds entirely in water without organic solvents or inert gas. The process completes in just 1 h, and the solid catalyst allows for easy filtration, offering a sustainable route to valuable ...

A Rh(III)‐catalyzed [4 + 2] annulation of 2‐aryl imidazoles/benzimidazoles with α‐diazocarbonyl compounds is developed for the synthesis of π‐conjugated imidazo/benzimidazo[2,1‐a]isoquinolinones systems. Mechanistic studies and control experiment reveal that the reaction proceeds via imidazole‐directed ortho C(sp2)–H activation, followed by carbene C–H

From Citrus to Cymene: Understanding the Hydrothermal Conversion of Limonene
When life gives you limonene… Hydrothermal conversion and pyrolysis of limonene give two distinct sets of products, arising from differing reaction cascades. While p‐cymene dominates in the presence of water, indicative of an isomerisation/aromatisation pathway, pyrolysis favours cracking and loss of carbon affording an m‐xylene rich aromatic mix.

Mechanistic Studies on the Formation of eta(2)-Diphosphine (eta(6)-p-cymene)ruthenium(II) Compounds
A new range of pendent diphosphine (η6-p-cymene)ruthenium(II) complexes, [RuCl(PPh3)(η1-(P-P))(η6-p-cymene)]PF6 (P-P = dppm, cis-PPh2CHCHPPh2 (dppv), dppe, dppp, dppf), have been prepared by substitution of the labile acetonitrile ligand in [RuCl(CH3CN ...
