P311 regulates distal lung development via its interaction with several binding proteins

open access: yesMechanisms of Development, 2020
Little is known about the molecular mechanisms underlying alveolar development. P311, a putative neuronal protein originally identified for its high expression during neuronal development, has once been reported to play a potential role in distal lung generation. However, the function of this protein has been poorly understood so far. Hence, we carried

Alternative Splicing Underpins the ALMT9 Transporter Function for Vacuolar Malic Acid Accumulation in Apple

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 22, June 12, 2024.
Alternative splicing of aluminum‐activated malate transporter 9 (ALMT9/Ma1) generates two isoform proteins in apple: Ma1β being 68 amino acids shorter with much lower expression than the full‐length protein Ma1α. Ma1β does not transport malate itself, but interacts with the functional Ma1α to form heterodimers, creating synergy for vacuolar malate ...

Regulation of glioma cell migration by serine-phosphorylated P311.

open access: yesNeoplasia (New York, N.Y.), 2006
P311, an 8-kDa polypeptide, was previously shown to be highly expressed in invasive glioma cells. Here, we report the functional characteristics of P311 with regard to influencing glioma cell migration. P311 is constitutively serine-phosphorylated; decreased phosphorylation is observed in migration-activated glioma cells.

Communication Between Pregnant People of Color and Prenatal Care Providers in the United States: An Integrative Review

open access: yesJournal of Midwifery &Women's Health, Volume 69, Issue 2, Page 202-223, March/April 2024.
Introduction Racism and discrimination negatively affect patient–provider communication. Yet, pregnant people of color consistently report being discriminated against, disrespected, and ignored. The purpose of this integrated review was to identify studies that examined communication between pregnant people of color and their prenatal care providers ...

Reconstruction and Functional Annotation of P311 Protein–Protein Interaction Network Reveals Its New Functions [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2019
P311 is a highly conserved multifunctional protein. However, it does not belong to any established family of proteins, and its biological function has not been entirely determined. This study aims to reveal the unknown molecular and cellular function of P311. OCG (Overlapping Cluster Generator) is a clustering method used to partition a protein-protein

P311 Risk factors of retardation the fetal development and their predictorative significance [PDF]

open access: yesAbstracts, 2019
Search of the causes of formation of fetal development is a topical problem of perinatology. Distribution of fetal development is 10–44% on average. Delaying the development of the fetus by the American obstetrics in 2013 has been recognized as ‘the most common and difficult problem of modern obstetrics’ Nowadays there is enough information on the ...

Involvement of P311 in the Affective, but Not in the Sensory Component of Pain

open access: yesMolecular Pain, 2008
Pain is comprised of the sensory and affective components. Compared to the well-investigated mechanisms of the sensory pain, much less is known about the mechanisms underlying the affective pain. In recent years, accumulating evidence suggests that the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) is a key structure for pain affection.
