Adenosine A1 receptor activation mediates the developmental shift at layer 5 pyramidal cell synapses and is a determinant of mature synaptic strength [PDF]
During the first postnatal month glutamatergic synapses between layer 5 pyramidal cells in the rodent neocortex switch from an immature state exhibiting high probability of neurotransmitter release, large unitary amplitude and synaptic depression to a ...

p32: A new player in autophagy [PDF]
Unc-51 like kinase-1 (Ulk1) is essential for autophagy induction. We recently reported that p32/C1QBP is crucial for the induction of autophagic flux upon starvation and the clearance of damaged mitochondria through the regulation of Ulk1 stability and kinase activity.

Dust in Spiral Galaxies: Comparing Emission and Absorption to Constrain Small-Scale and Very Cold Structures [PDF]
The detailed distribution of dust in the disks of spiral galaxies is important to understanding the radiative transfer within disks, and to measuring overall dust masses if significant quantities of dust are either very opaque or very cold.

The exceptional sets of a Waring-Goldbach problem with unequal powers
The representability of positive odd number n=p1+P32+p3k(k∈N and k≥4) was studied. The circle method in additive number theory and the iterative method in the circle method were used to deal with the main arcs and the exponential sum method was used to ...

Theory of muonic hydrogen - muonic deuterium isotope shift
We calculate the corrections of orders alpha^3, alpha^4 and alpha^5 to the Lamb shift of the 1S and 2S energy levels of muonic hydrogen (mu p) and muonic deuterium (mu d).

Integrated Clinical Trial and Molecular Profiling Reveals Immune Drivers of Chronic Hand Eczema
This study performed an unbiased molecular profiling of CHE patients across diverse etiologies to identify shared pathogenic drivers and evaluate the impact of IL‐4Rα blockade via dupilumab over 16 weeks. CHE shows a mixed immune signature involving type 1, 2, and 3 pathways with features of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
