Cannabis sativa root‐derived extracellular vesicle‐like nanoparticles (CA‐NPs) were isolated from adventitious root cultures and subjected to physicochemical characterization. Upon UVB exposure, keratinocytes exhibited increased ROS generation, apoptosis and MAPK activation, leading to oxidative stress and skin damage.

Malaria mosquito antimicrobial defence requires immunity and detoxification gene regulation by Lola
Malaria mosquito antimicrobial defence requires upregulation of lola. Attenuation of lola in the midgut of Anopheles albimanus mosquitoes inhibits the upregulation of immunity genes induced by challenge. Putative target genes of the Lola transcription factor were revealed by lola attenuation, including Cecropin‐C, Draper, PPAF2, Clip‐domain serine ...

Neuregulin 4‐dependent MAPK amplification mediates urate‐induced β‐cell dysfunction
Hyperuricemia impairs glucose homeostasis by inducing pancreatic β‐cell apoptosis without insulin resistance. In male Uox‐KO mice, urate upregulates Nrg4, which amplifies MAPK signaling and drives β‐cell death. Thus, hyperuricemia disrupts glucose metabolism via the Nrg4‐MAPK axis.

Intermittent Fasting‐Induced Orm2 Promotes Adipose Browning via the GP130/IL23R‐p38 Cascade
Intermittent fasting (IF) plays a critical role in mitigating obesity, yet the precise biological mechanisms require further elucidation. Here Orosomucoid 2 (Orm2) is identified as an IF‐induced hepatokine that stimulates adipose browning.

Periodontitis as a Model for Inflammatory Uncoupling of Bone Remodeling
Periodontitis can be viewed as a state of inflammatory uncoupling of bone remodeling, in which excessive osteoclast‐mediated resorption coexists with impaired bone formation. This review integrates emerging insights from osteoimmunology, osteocyte biology, mechanobiology, aging, and resolution pathways to position periodontitis as an accessible in vivo
