Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Correlated X-ray/optical variability in the quasar MR?2251?178 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Emission from active galactic nuclei is known to vary strongly over time over a wide energy band, but the origin of the variability and especially of the interband correlations is still not well established.

DADIM: A distance adjustment dynamic influence map model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Influence map (IM) is often used as a decision supporting technology in game artificial intelligence (AI). However, the traditional influence map does not describe dynamic information.

First-Principles Investigation of Ru- and Pt-Doped TiO2 Brookite Surfaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2020
The electronic structures and optical properties of brookite TiO2 (100) and (110) surfaces doped with transition metals (Ru and Pt) have been investigated by first-principles calculations based on the density functional theory, employing generalized ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Enhanced colour encoding of materials discrimination information for multiple view dual-energy x-ray imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This thesis reports an investigation into dual-energy X-ray discrimination techniques. These techniques are designed to provide colour-coded materials discrimination information in a sequence of perspective images exhibiting sequential parallax.
