Bioactive neolignans and lignans from the roots of Paeonia lactiflora

Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines, 2022
Two new neolignans and one new lignan (1-3) were obtained from the roots of Paeonia lactiflora. Their structures were unambiguously elucidated based on extensive spectroscopic analysis, single-crystal X-ray crystallography, and the calculated and experimental electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. Compound 1 was a racemic mixture and successfully

Paeonone A, a novel nonanortriterpenoid from the roots of Paeonia lactiflora

Bioorganic Chemistry, 2021
Paeonone A (1), a unique nonanortriterpenoid, and a new octanortriterpenoid, paeonone B (2), were isolated from the roots of Paeonia lactiflora, together with a known analogue, palbinone (3). Paeonone A (1) is the first example of naturally occurring nonanortriterpenoid with a diketo acid group.

Paeoniflorin: an antihyperlipidemic agent from Paeonia lactiflora

Fitoterapia, 2004
Paeoniflorin (1), isolated from the methanol extract of Paeonia lactiflora, showed a lowering effect on cholesterol level in the experimentally-induced hyperlipidemic rats. Paeoniflorin showed a significantly lowering effect of total cholesterol, LDL and triglyceride levels compared with the control group at the dose of 200 and 400 mg/kg, p.o.

New monoterpene glycosides from Paeonia lactiflora

Fitoterapia, 2008
Three new monoterpene glycosides named 4-O-methyl-paeoniflorin (1), isopaeoniflorin (2), and isobenzoylpaeoniflorin (3), together with two known monoterpene glycosides, paeoniflorin (4) and benzoylpaeoniflorin (5), were isolated from the roots of Paeonia lactiflora. Their structures were established on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence.

A new phenolic glycoside from Paeonia lactiflora

Fitoterapia, 2006
A new phenolic glycoside , 2-methoxy-5-(E)-propenyl-phenol-beta-vicianoside, was isolated from the root of Paeonia lactiflora. The structure of the new glycoside was elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods.

A New Monoterpene Glycoside ofPaeonia lactiflora

Planta Medica, 1984
A new monoterpene glycoside has been isolated from the roots of PAEONIA LACTIFLORA Pall, and its structure was elucidated as ( Z)-(1 S,5 R)-β-pinen-10-yl β-vicianoside on the basis of chemical, spectral and X-ray diffraction evidence.
