Monoterpene Glucosides from Paeonia lactiflora

Journal of Natural Products, 2009
Four new "cage-like" monoterpene glucosides (1-4) were isolated from Paeonia lactiflora. The structures of these compounds were established by spectroscopic methods, mainly 1D and 2D NMR, and mass spectrometric analysis. Compound 4 exhibited moderate cell-protective activity against hydrogen peroxide-induced PC12 cell damage.

Triterpenoids and flavonoids from Paeonia lactiflora

Phytochemistry, 1997
Abstract Seven triterpenoids and two flavoids were isolated from the roots and aerial parts of Paeonia lactiflora , respectively. This is the first report of triterpenoids, which is a new triterpene assigned as 11α, 12α-epoxy-3β, 23-dihydroxy-30-norolean-20(29)-en-28,13 β-olide, from this plant.

Profiling of neuraminidase inhibitory polyphenols from the seeds of Paeonia lactiflora

Food and Chemical Toxicology, 2013
Bacterial neuraminidase (NA) is a lynch pin enzyme in the formation of biofilms. Thus NA continues to be one of the key enzymes targeted by bacterial infection. The purpose of this manuscript is to communicate four new naturally derived inhibitors of neuraminidase (IC50s 3.7-24.4μM).

Characterization of molecular signature of the roots of Paeonia lactiflora during growth

Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines, 2017
The roots of Paeoniae lactiflora Pall. are widely consumed as crude drugs in Asian countries due to their remarkable beneficial health effects. The present research was undertaken to illuminate the dynamic changes in metabolites and enzymes and facilitate selection of the harvesting time when the herb can provide optimum health benefits. P.

Harnessing rhizosphere bacteria for fungal disease management in Paeonia lactiflora

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology
Paeonia lactiflora Pall., a traditional Chinese ornamental flower, holds significant aesthetic and economic value but remains highly susceptible to fungal diseases. In this study, eight candidate biocontrol bacteria (SY1-SY8) were isolated and identified from the rhizosphere soil of P.
