Mechanisms of Gui Zhi Fu Ling Formula in Liver Fibrosis: Metabolomics and Gut Microbiota Analysis

open access: yeseFood, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
Our study was based on the efficacy of the phenotype in an animal model and used multi‐omics to explore the mechanism of action of the compound. We found that Gui Zhi Fu Ling Formula may ameliorate hepatic fibrosis potentially associated with increased hepatic EPA and the expression of gut Pseudomonas.

Large‐Scale Evaluation of Traditional Chinese Medicines Reveals Potential PPARγ Modulators for Type 2 Diabetes Management

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 40, Issue 12, June 2026.
Identifying novel treatments for diabetic management is always a competitive research topic all over the world. PPAR‐γ is one of the key regulators involved in glucose and lipid metabolism and improves insulin sensitivity and glucose homeostasis. This study investigated the impacts of 639 traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on PPAR‐γ gene promoter ...

Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1B‐Mediated Granulosa Cell Insulin Resistance Links Metabolic Stress to Aging‐Relevant Ovarian Dysfunction and Is Reversed by Gengnianchun

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 6, June 2026.
Metabolic stress induces insulin resistance and upregulates PTP1B in granulosa cells, leading to aging‐relevant ovarian dysfunction. Gengnianchun (GNC) suppresses PTP1B, restores IRS1–AKT2–GLUT4 signaling, and preserves follicles, highlighting PTP1B as a therapeutic target for ovarian dysfunction in metabolically vulnerable states.

Da Yuan Yin Regulates Gut Microbiota and Improves Intestinal Injury in Sepsis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
Sepsis mouse model was induced by LPS to investigate the effect of Da Yuan Yin (DYY) in vivo. Hematoxylin–eosin staining showed that DYY could reduce intestinal injury caused by sepsis. In addition, DYY can also inhibit inflammation, apoptosis, and promote cell proliferation in sepsis, and promote the expression of tight junction proteins.
