Paired and semipaired domination in near-triangulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
A dominating set of a graph G is a subset D of vertices such that every vertex not in D is adjacent to at least one vertex in D. A dominating set D is paired if the subgraph induced by its vertices has a perfect matching, and semipaired if every vertex ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Paired Eternal Domination in Grid Graphs and k-Trees

open access: yes, 2023
We explore the paired eternal domination number on two different classes of graphs. The paired eternal domination problem is a variation on eternal domination where guards must remain paired after every move.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Trees With Large Paired-Domination Number

open access: yes, 2006
A paired-dominating set of a graph G is a dominating set of vertices whose induced subgraph has a perfect matching. The paired-domination number of G is bounded above by twice the domination number of G.

Eternal Paired Domination in Trees

open access: yes, 2022
There are a wide variety of problems in graph domination. We discuss eternal paired domination in trees, a variation which requires guards stationed at the vertices of a dominating set to be able to defend against any sequence of attacks, while the ...

On Paired Double Domination for Degree Splitting Graphs of Some Graphs

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper, we introduced the new concept Paired double domination number for degree splitting graph of standard graphs. A paired – double dominating set of a graph G with no isolated vertex is a double dominating sets of vertices whose induced ...
