Biodiesel production from palm oil
Methyl ester was produced from many sources of oil palm products, namely used frying oil, RBD palm oil, degummed and deacidified palm oil, palm stearin and superhard palm stearin. Production process was a conventional transesterification batch process using methanol as reactant and sodium hydroxide as catalyst.

The 3‐(methacryloyloxy)propyltrimethoxysilane surface functionalized SBA‐15 (MP‐SBA‐15) is used for the first time as a lipase carrier. The immobilized CAL‐B exhibits high thermal stability and superior catalytic activity. CAL‐B/SBA‐15 suggests that optimum hydrophobicity gives better catalytic activity.

Carbohydrate-derived solid acid catalysts for biodiesel production from low-cost feedstocks: a review [PDF]
Currently, most biodiesels are produced from virgin vegetable oils using a transesterification reaction. However, there are a number of other potential cheap sources for biodiesels, such as deep-frying oils/fats and palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD ...

Abstract Co‐fermentation of hexoses and pentoses from plant biomass to ethanol is a strategy to increase ethanol production from lignocellulosic materials and add value to residues from agroindustrial chains. The macauba (Acrocomia aculeata) is an oleaginous palm‐tree species considered to contribute to development in some regions of Brazil.

Pembuatan Biodiesel dari Minyak Biji Nyamplung dengan Sintesis Katalis Basa Na2SiO3/Fe3O4 [PDF]
Biodiesel is an alternative energy to replace fossil fuels. It can be synthesized by transesterification process of palm oils. Commonly the process of producing biodiesel was used NaOH or KOH as homogeneous catalyst which has the disadvantage because the
