Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium of Palmitic acid and Oleic acid System [PDF]
For an effective utilization of waste food lipids (oils and fats), collection by distillation of free fatty acids occupying 80-85% of the waste lipids is highly desirable.

Changes in fatty acid composition of sulfolipid and phospholipids during maturation of alfalfa
Lipids were extracted from alfalfa samples collected at intervals over the growing season and were fractionated to yield pure sulfolipid. In the sulfolipid and in a phospholipid fraction the major fatty acids were palmitic, linolenic, and linoleic, of ...

Concentration of biopetrol from palmitic acid [PDF]
Biopetrol is defined as fuel which has the same characteristics with commercial petrol in terms of its molecular formula. The objective of this study is to find the concentration of biopetrol (isooctane) from palmitic acid.

This study identifies palmitoylation as a novel regulatory modification of SMAD4, mediated by ZDHHC22/APT2. It activates fatty acid synthesis, creating a self‐reinforcing SMAD4–FASN–palmitate feedback loop that drives pancreatic cancer growth and enhances radiotherapy sensitivity.

Impact of Dietary Palmitic Acid on Lipid Metabolism
Palmitic acid (PA) is ubiquitously present in dietary fat guaranteeing an average intake of about 20 g/d. The relative high requirement and relative content in the human body, which accounts for 20–30% of total fatty acids (FAs), is justified by its relevant nutritional role.

Subcellular localization of hexadecanedioic acid activation in human liver
The activation of hexadecanedioic acid has been studied in subcellular fractions of human liver. The activation capacity in a total homogenate of human liver was found to be 0.5 μmole/min/g wet wt of tissue, about 10% of that for palmitic acid ...

Displacement of Dansylglycine by 4PBA and Palmitic acid.
4PBA and Palmitic acid displacement of Dansylglycine. To HSA (1 μM) and Dansylglycine (1 μM) complex, 4PBA and Palmitic acid were added incrementally from 1–8 μM.

Nanoscale Spatial Organization of ARC High‐ and Low‐Order Assemblies at Excitatory Synapses
ARC (Activity‐Regulated Cytoskeleton‐Associated protein) mediates synaptic plasticity by forming nanoscale assemblies in neurons. Using super‐resolution microscopy and time‐resolved anisotropy with targeted tagging, the study reveals low‐order ARC assemblies at synapses colocalizing with AMPARs, semi‐circular structures at endocytic zones, and 60–80 nm

The effect of exogenous palmitic acid on 3T3-L1 preadipocytes.
(A) 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were treated with α-mangostin and palmitic acid at various concentrations (α-mangostin: 0, 6, 12, 18, 30 µM; palmitic acid: 0, 25, 50, 100 µM) for 24 h. Cell viability was determined by MTT colorimetric assay.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) enrich the metabolic enzyme ATP‐citrate lyase (ACLY). EV‐transferred ACLY enhances palmitate biosynthesis, increases the S‐palmitoylation and stability of multiple immune checkpoint proteins, augments the cellular immunosuppressive activity, and ultimately accelerates the malignant ...
