Roadmap to Nanomedical Applications: Nanotoxicology and In Vitro Guidelines for Lanthanide‐Doped Luminescence Nanothermometers

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Lanthanide‐based luminescence nanothermometry holds multifaceted potential for nanomedical applications, yet despite significant research advances, clinical translation of the engineered nanomaterials is still controversial and widely disputed. This is related to crucial nanotoxicological aspects that must be addressed at the preclinical level ...

Nano-Detoxification of Organophosphate Agents by PAMAM Derivatives

open access: yesJournal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, 2015
For the first time, the adsorption of pesticides such as azinphos-methyl and methamidophos by polyamidoamine (PAMAM) derivatives was studied. Amine groups of PAMAM (G4 and G5) were functionalized with different biomolecules such as folic acid, coumarine, arginine, lysine, and asparagine.

Graphene Oxide‐Based Gene Modulation in Preferential Elimination of Lung Cancer Cells in a 3D Tumor Microenvironment Model

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Chemically modified graphene oxide nanocarriers provide a targeted lung cancer gene therapy platform. In a 3D tumor microenvironment model, these nanocarriers deliver therapeutic genes, regulate immune markers, and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Combined gene delivery enhances cancer cell elimination, demonstrating the potential of this approach for

Modulare Synthese dendritischer Oligo‐Glycerin‐Kationischer Tenside zur Steigerung der antibakteriellen Wirksamkeit

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Dendrimer-based selective autophagy-induction rescues ΔF508-CFTR and inhibits Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in cystic fibrosis.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
BackgroundCystic Fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder caused by mutation(s) in the CF-transmembrane conductance regulator (Cftr) gene. The most common mutation, ΔF508, leads to accumulation of defective-CFTR protein in aggresome-bodies.

Synthesis of microporous silica nanoparticles to study water phase transitions by vibrational spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Silica can take many forms, and its interaction with water can change dramatically at the interface. Silica based systems offer a rich tapestry to probe the confinement of water as size and volume can be controlled by various templating strategies and ...
