CD36‐mediated lipid rewiring in the metabolic adaptation of tumour ecosystems

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Nutrient deprivation drives a lipid‐centric shift in tumour metabolic symbiosis and signalling network. CD36 functions as a bidirectional bridge, transferring fatty acids from stromal donors (adipocytes, CAFs) to the ecosystem tumour‐ and microenvironment‐dependently.

A brief overview on early events of Xa21 mediated pattern triggered immunity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In plant associated pattern-triggered immunity (PTI), pattern-recognition receptors (PRRs) play crucial role in the mechanism of first line of defense against pathogenic invasion.

Synergistic Effects of Bacterial Mimetic and Mechanical Stimulation in Dental Pulp Cell Inflammatory Signalling: A Laboratory Investigation

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Mechanical and/or microbial stimuli can prompt extracellular ATP release in many cell types, where it acts as an inflammatory mediator to amplify pain signals and inflammation. This study aimed to investigate the synergistic effects of microbial and/or mechanical stimulation on ATP and cytokine release from dental pulp cells (DPCs ...

Mast Cells in Host Defense Against Cutaneous Staphylococcus aureus Infection

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, EarlyView.
Impact of S. aureus epicutaneous sensitization models on mast cell function in vivo. D. farinae and Staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB) activate Trpv1+ Tac1+ nociceptors to trigger the release of substance P (SP), which promotes mast cell degranulation through Mrgprb2. S.

Tissue Resident Memory Cells: Friend or Foe?

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
Tissue‐resident memory T cells (TRM cells) are specialised immune cells in barrier tissues like the lungs, skin and gut, providing rapid host defence and tumour surveillance. Their retention and differentiation are regulated by molecules such as CD69, CD103 and TGF‐β. Dysregulation of TRM cells can lead to chronic activation, driving conditions such as

MyD88‐Family Adaptors: Compartmentalised Signalling and Non‐Immune Functions

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
MyD88‐family adaptors coordinate receptor‐ and compartment‐specific innate immune signalling across plasma membrane and endosomal pathways. At the plasma membrane, TIRAP/MAL supports MyD88‐dependent signalling downstream of TLR2 and TLR4, whereas endosomal TLR7, TLR8 and TLR9 recruit MyD88 directly.

Pathogenesis of hidradenitis suppurativa: From susceptibility to chronicity

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
This review describes hidradenitis suppurativa as a heterogeneous disorder in which genetic susceptibility, epithelial dysfunction, environmental exposures, immune activation and microbial ecology converge differently across patients and disease stages.

The TaRNS4–TaPP2C10 module regulates wheat resistance to stripe rust through RNA degradation and MAPK cascades

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
In wheat, phosphorylation of the S‐like RNase TaRNS4 mediated by the kinase TaRLK5 promotes its degradation of Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici RNA in the apoplast, enhancing resistance to stripe rust. TaRNS4 can hijack phosphatase TaPP2C10 to relieve its dephosphorylation of TaMAPK6, thereby activating MAPK‐mediated immune responses. ABSTRACT RNase
