ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nanoscale membrane‐bound vesicles released by any cell type under both physiological and pathological conditions. They carry a wide array of bioactive molecules, including microRNAs (miRNAs), lipids, proteins and other small biomolecules, and therefore play a key role in intercellular communication by ...

Identification of Panax Species in the Herbal Medicine Preparations Using Gradient PCR Method
In order to identify the existence of Panax species in herbal medicine preparations, the Ginseng specific marker primer was selected and created based on the sequence of Korean ginseng DNA fragment, 359 bp. The gradient PCR was performed on 40 types of the herbal medicines including the 7 types of Araliaceae that are in the same family with the Panax ...

A new HPLC method was developed to separate and identify three polyacetylenes (panaxynol, panaxydol and 1,8-heptadecadiene-4,6-diyne-3,10-diol) found in Panax species. The mobile phase was a linear gradient of 2 : 1 : 3 to 2 : 1 : 1 (v/v/v) methanol/acetonitrile/water in 40 min. HPLC analysis was performed at a flow rate of 1.5 ml/min with UV detection
