Current Treatment Options in Gastroenterology, 2019Incidental pancreatic cysts are common, and management strategies continue to evolve. This review summarizes diagnostic and management recommendations in older patients with these lesions based on guidelines and best clinical evidence.Diagnosis of cyst type has been enhanced with improved imaging and cyst fluid analysis and visualization.

A 60-year-old woman was investigated for abdominal pain and increasing asthenia. Abdominal CT revealed a 25 mm hypodense cystic lesion in the tail of the pancreas. MRI showed a multiloculated cystic lesion, T1-hypointense and T2-hyperintense lesion, without wall enhancement.

A 5-year-old neutered male Cornish Rex cat was presented for evaluation with a history of vomiting over the previous 5 days.An abdominal mass was palpated, which was shown to be cystic by ultrasound examination. Exploratory surgery revealed this to be associated with the pancreas and it was duly resected. Histopathology was performed on the cystic mass.

A case report of intrarenal true cyst of the pancreas is presented. The patient presented with flank pain. Her diabetes and hypertension were well-controlled. The cause of the pain was presumed to be a cystic renal mass, which proved to be of pancreatic origin only after the pathologic confirmation from the nephrectomy specimen.

Reported here is a case of an enteric duplication cyst within the duodenal wall of a 16-year-old boy that lead to recurrent episodes of pancreatitis because of intermittent obstruction of both the bile duct and the pancreatic duct.
