Neuroendocrine tumours through an epigenetic lens: Emerging insights for diagnosis and treatment

open access: yesJournal of Neuroendocrinology, Volume 38, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are well‐differentiated epithelial neuroendocrine neoplasms that frequently develop in the small intestine, pancreas, and lungs. NETs originate from neuroendocrine cells specialized in hormone secretion implicated in a number of physiological processes.

The aging paradox of Cushing's syndrome: Stress without clear senescence?

open access: yesJournal of Neuroendocrinology, Volume 38, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Cushing's syndrome (CS), characterized by chronic endogenous hypercortisolism and disruption of the normal circadian cortisol rhythm, represents a unique human model for investigating the interplay between stress endocrinology and biological aging.

Low Expression of Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 in Resected Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors: Relationship With Lymph Node and Distant Metastasis

open access: yesPathology International, Volume 76, Issue 6, June 2026.
In a cohort of 75 resected GEP‐NET cases, immunohistochemical analysis showed that low CADM1 expression was significantly associated with lymph node and distant metastasis. Low CADM1 expression remained independently associated with metastasis in multivariate analysis.

A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study of 21 Dogs Having Undergone Hypofractionated Radiotherapy for Adrenal Tumours (2017–2024)

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, Volume 24, Issue 2, Page 229-239, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Radiation therapy (RT) has emerged as a promising non‐surgical approach for treating canine adrenal tumours. This multi‐institutional, retrospective study describes clinical outcomes for 21 dogs having been prescribed a course of hypofractionated image‐guided intensity‐modulated RT (IMRT) entailing delivery of 25–35 Gy total in 5 fractions ...

Early adversity and the comorbidity between metabolic disease and psychopathology

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 11, Page 4338-4377, 1 June 2026.
Abstract figure legend Hierarchical diagram representing the interplay between the genetic background and early life adversities and its effect on multiple physiological processes that ultimately impact on the risk for the comorbdity between psychopathology and cardiometabolic disorders.
