Admixture Mapping Reveals Candidate Regions for Methotrexate Neurotoxicity Susceptibility: A Reducing Disparities in Acute Leukemia Consortium Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neurotoxicity is a rare, often dose‐limiting adverse effect of methotrexate (MTX) therapy that disproportionally affects Latino children. Factors contributing to the observed disparity are not well understood. This study leveraged admixture mapping to identify genetic regions associated with MTX‐related neurotoxicity susceptibility ...

On the Estimation and Inference of a Cointegrated Regression in Panel Data [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 1997
In this chapter, we study the asymptotic distributions for ordinary least squares (OLS), fully modified OLS (FMOLS), and dynamic OLS (DOLS) estimators in cointegrated regression models in panel data. We show that the OLS, FMOLS, and DOLS estimators are all asymptotically normally distributed. However, the asymptotic distribution of the OLS estimator is

Development and Implementation of a Disease‐Targeted Storybook as a Clinical Tool for Children With Acute Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Although significant progress has been made in childhood leukemia survival, healthcare providers, and caregivers often face challenges in explaining this disease to patients. Disease‐targeted storybooks have been proposed as a tool to facilitate the understanding of diagnoses and treatment.

Analysis of Development Performance of the New Autonomous Region in Indonesia 2010-2014: Profile and Determinant

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Social and Environmental Issues, 2020
Blossoming territory is one of the efforts made by the government to improve the welfare of the community. This research is motivated by the high interest of the people and the People's Representative Council (PRC) to make their regional autonomous.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Investigating the Impacts of Built-Up Land Allocation on Carbon Emissions in 88 Cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt Based on Panel Regressions

open access: yesLand, 2023
The supply of built-up land determines the depths of human activities, leading to the differences in scale and intensity of carbon emissions. However, the relationship between the composition of built-up land and carbon emissions has not been fully ...

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

ESTIMATION OF GEOGRAPHICALLY WEIGHTED PANEL REGRESSION MODEL WITH BISQUARE KERNEL WEIGHTING FUNCTION ON PERCENTAGE OF STUNTING TODDLERS IN INDONESIA

open access: yesBarekeng
Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five years old due to chronic malnutrition. Efforts that can be made to reduce the incidence of stunting in Indonesia are to identify factors that are thought to affect the incidence of ...
