Factors Influencing Physicians Migration—A Case Study from Romania
Brain drain is a phenomenon that, over time, has followed an upward trend. It is an important component represented by physicians’ migration. For the country of destination, the migration of physicians offers several advantages, whereas the country of ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Panel Regression of Arbitrarily Distributed Responses [PDF]
The primary advantage of panel over cross-sectional regression stems from its control for the effects of omitted variables or "unobserved heterogeneity". However, panel regression is based on the strong assump- tions that measurement errors are independently identically ( i.i.d.) and normal.

What Financial Markets in the CEE Region Tell Us about Inflation Expectations [PDF]
Inflation expectations have become a significant concern for monetary policy settings in the CEE region due to the sharp rise in inflation. The absence of market-based inflation expectations complicates the assessment of anchoring inflation expectations ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Panel smooth transition regression models [PDF]
We develop a non-dynamic panel smooth transition regression model with fixed individual effects. The model is useful for describing heterogenous panels, with regression coefficients that vary across individuals and over time. Heterogeneity is allowed for by assuming that these coefficients are continuous functions of an observable variable through a ...

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

On the Estimation of Panel Regression Models with Fixed Effects [PDF]
This paper considers estimation of panel data models with fixed effects. First, we will show that a consistent "unrestricted fixed effects" estimator does not exist for autoregressive panel data models with initial conditions. We will derive necessary and sufficient conditions for the consistency of estimators for these models.
