Fenpyroximate resistance in Iranian populations of the European red mite Panonychus ulmi (Acari: Tetranychidae)

open access: yesExperimental and Applied Acarology, 2020
The European red mite, Panonychus ulmi (Koch), is one of the most important apple orchard pests worldwide. Fenpyroximate, a mitochondrial electron transport inhibitor of complex I (METI-I), is a commonly used acaricide to control this pest. In this study, we determined fenpyroximate resistance levels for 11 P.

Susceptibility of female populations of Panonychus ulmi (Koch) (Acari: Tetranychidae) to some acaricides in apple orchards

open access: yesJournal of Pest Science, 2007
The levels of susceptibility of adult female European red mite, Panonychus ulmi (Koch) populations collected from apple orchards in Bursa region of Turkey, to acaricides, dicofol, bromopropylate and fenpyroximate belong to two different groups and an ...

The functional response ofTyphlodromus pyri to its prey,Panonychus ulmi: the effect of pollen

Experimental and Applied Acarology, 1997
We looked at the effect of the presence of pollen (Typha latifolia) on the functional response of Typhlodromus pyri (Phytoseiidae) to Panonychus ulmi (Tetranychidae) in the laboratory. We found that pollen significantly reduced the predation rate but that the magnitude of the effect was not large.

Panonychus ulmi . [Distribution map].

Distribution Maps of Plant Pests, 2005
Abstract A new distribution map is provided for Panonychus ulmi (Koch) ( Metatetranychus pilosus [Panonychus ulmi] (C. & F.)) (Acarina, Tetranychidae) (European or Fruit Tree Red Spider Mite). Host Plants: Deciduous fruit and forest trees. Information is given on the

Effects of Gibberellin on Nutrition of the Mites, Tetranychus telarius and Panonychus ulmi

Journal of Economic Entomology, 1961
Dwarf Horticultural beans and Delta Pine cotton grown in artificial culture in the greenhouse were treated with gibberellin at the rates of 1, 2 and 3 micrograms per plant. Close apple trees grown in semi-field conditions were sprayed with an emulsifiable concentrate of gibberellin at 7- to 10-day intervals during the season at the rates of 10, 50, 100,

Acaricidal Properties of Spinosad Against Tetranychus urticae and Panonychus ulmi (Acari: Tetranychidae)

Journal of Economic Entomology, 2006
Laboratory bioassays were conducted to characterize the activity of the insecticide spinosad against the twospotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch, and European red mite, Panonychus ulmi (Koch) (Acari: Tetranychidae). T. urticae females and larvae were individually placed on bean, Phaseolus vulgaris L.

Acaricidal action of two detergents against Panonychus ulmi (Koch) and Panonychus citri (Mcgregor) (Acarina: Tetranychidae) in the laboratory

Crop Protection, 2004
Abstract Two laboratory experiments using a leaf-dip technique evaluated the effect of two detergents, Quix and Nobla, on Panonychus ulmi and P . citri . Fenazaquin 0.01% a.i. was used on P . ulmi as a standard. Mortality increased with higher concentrations in both mite species. In addition, detergent treatments also dislodged P .

Techniques and Methods Used in Studies of Resistance to Panonychus ulmi in Apple Varieties

International Journal of Tropical Insect Science, 1985
Distinct differences in Panonychus ulmi population densities on various apple cultivars have been observed under natural field infestations. Various laboratory techniques may be used to determine the differences in susceptibility or resistance to P. ulmi of different apple cultivars. The lowest variation in P.
