Some observations on diapause in winter eggs of Panonychus ulmi (Koch) (Tetranychidae)
1991Some observations are presented on factors influencing winter-egg laying density in autumn, and environmental requirements to break diapause of winter eggs in the European red mite, Panonychus ulmi (Koch), on apple. In our field trial, the presence of phytoseiid mites in the autumn had a decisive influence on the winter-egg density.

[Biological control efficiency of Amblyseius cucumeris (Oudemans) on Panonychus ulmi (Koch)].
Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2011Based on the life-table parameters and the release effects of Amblyseius cucumeris (Oudemans) under laboratory and field conditions, the control efficiency of A. cucumeris (Oudemans) on Panonychus ulmi (Koch) was evaluated. When feeding on P. ulmi, A. cucumeris could complete its development period and lay eggs with one generation time of 9.54 d at (25

THE EFFECT OF DDT ON OVIPOSITION, AND ON BEHAVIOR, IN THE EUROPEAN RED MITE, PANONYCHUS ULMI (KOCH)
Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1960It has not been possible to confirm the statement that DDT brings about increased egg production in the European red mite, Panonychus ulmi (Koch). Newly emerged females were allowed to oviposit individually on single, whole, isolated apple leaves for their entire lifetime. On leaves sprayed with DDT, with mean deposits of 3.1 and 10.6 μg per sq.
