Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Expression and Functional Studies on the Noncoding RNA, PRINS. [PDF]
PRINS, a noncoding RNA identified earlier by our research group, contributes to psoriasis susceptibility and cellular stress response. We have now studied the cellular and histological distribution of PRINS by using in situ hybridization and demonstrated

This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Nuclear prothymosin α inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in lung cancer by increasing Smad7 acetylation and competing with Smad2 for binding to SNAI1, TWIST1, and ZEB1 promoters. In early‐stage cancer, ProT suppresses TGF‐β‐induced EMT, while its loss in the nucleus in late‐stage cancer leads to enhanced EMT and poor prognosis.

Loss of proton‐sensing GPR4 reduces tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
G protein‐coupled receptor 4 (GPR4) is a pH‐sensing receptor activated by acidic pH. GPR4 expression is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are at high risk of developing colorectal cancer. In mouse models, loss of GPR4 attenuated tumor progression. This correlated with increased IL2 and natural killer cell activity.

Human prostate sphere-forming cells represent a subset of basal epithelial cells capable of glandular regeneration in vivo. [PDF]
BackgroundProstate stem/progenitor cells function in glandular development and maintenance. They may be targets for tumor initiation, so characterization of these cells may have therapeutic implications.
