Aerosol stability of bovine parainfluenza type 3 virus.
Canadian journal of comparative medicine : Revue canadienne de medecine comparee, 1979Aerosols of bovine parainfluenza type 3 virus were generated with a Devilbiss 40 nebulizer from Eagle's minimum essential medium and nasal secretion from a non-infected calf and stored in a rotating drum at temperatures of 6 degrees C or 32 degrees C and relative humidities of 30% or 90%.

Association of parainfluenza-3 virus with bovine macrophages and blood cells: An in vitro study
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1984SUMMARY Bovine blood cells and peritoneal and lung macrophages were exposed in vitro to parainfluenza-3 (pi-3) virus. Residual nonadsorbed pi-3 virus (expressed in percentage of input virus) in the supernate of the various cell fractions 1 hour after incubation at 37 C was as follows: lung macrophages, 11%; peritoneal macrophages, 59%; monocytes, 26 ...

Studies with bovine parainfluenza - 3 virus in u.a.R. (Egypt).
Canadian journal of comparative medicine and veterinary science, 2010A bovine strain of myxovirus parainfluenza-3 (MP3) virus, designated S virus, was isolated from lung tissue collected from cattle with respiratory illness in 1963. The virus agglutinates mammalian and avian erythrocytes, and is sensitive to ether, sodium desoxycholate and trypsin.

Monitoring and surveillance of respiratory viral infections in different animals is essential to build up the future bovine animal health and control strategies. The aim of present study was to document the prevalence of some common bovine respiratory viral infections in different regions in Saudi Arabia. Infectious Respiratory viral diseases in cattle

Two hundred and fifty dairy heifers were vaccinated at three to six months of age with an intranasal infectious bovine rhinotracheitis-parainfluenza-3 vaccine. Eighteen additional heifers were tested prior to vaccination and again three to four weeks after vaccination. Neither cell-mediated nor humoral immunity was significantly raised to parainfluenza-

The Isolation and Properties of a Bovine Strain (T1) of Parainfluenza 3 Virus
Research in Veterinary Science, 1964A bovine strain of parainfluenza 3 (PI3) virus, designated T1 strain, which was isolated from the tonsillar material of each of 2 calves has been shown by cross-haemagglutination inhibition tests to be serologically indistinguishable from an American bovine strain (SF4) of PI3, virus.
