Integrating Parallelization Strategies for Linkage Analysis [PDF]
We describe a second parallel implementation of the ILINK program from the LINKAGE package that improves on our previous implementation. To improve running time we integrated the strategy of parallel estimation of the gradient at a candidate recombination fraction vector with a previously implemented strategy for evaluating in parallel the likelihood ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Analysis of Parallel Graph Applications
Despite the increasing computing power of shared memory systems with high core counts, parallel graph processing frameworks cannot exploit it effectively. The reason behind this is the inherent challenges in parallel graph algorithms, which are efficient management of dynamically created tasks and irregular data access patterns.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Parallel coupled ring resonators performance analysis
We have investigated the system performance of several parallel coupled ring resonators. An optical network analyzer is utilized to analyze the output spectrums (frequency response) from the throughput and drop ports of the proposed system while it is ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
