Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Kinematic and Dynamic Analysis of the Partially Decoupled Parallel Manipulator

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2022
Aiming at the machining of complex curved surface parts with parallel machine tools, a novel partially decoupled parallel manipulator (PM) is proposed. The degree of freedom and the decoupling performance of the mechanism are analyzed.

Parallel Manipulators with Lower Mobility [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Parallel manipulators with lower mobility (LM-PMs) are multi-loop mechanisms with less than six degrees of freedom (dofs). This type of manipulators has attracted the attention both of academic researchers and of industries since the early appearance of the DELTA robot (Clavel 1988). The DELTA robot showed that, when the manipulation task requires less

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

A study of the singularity locus in the joint space of planar parallel manipulators: special focus on cusps and nodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Cusps and nodes on plane sections of the singularity locus in the joint space of parallel manipulators play an important role in nonsingular assembly-mode changing motions.

Design and Analysis of an Annular 3-PPR Planar Parallel Mechanism

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2023
In order to enlarge the rotation workspace of the manipulator, an annular 3-PPR planar parallel mechanism with full rotation capability is proposed. Resorting to homogeneous transformation and closed vector method, the inverse kinematics solution of the ...

Developing evidence‐based, cost‐effective P4 cancer medicine for driving innovation in prevention, therapeutics, patient care and reducing healthcare inequalities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The cancer problem is increasing globally with projections up to the year 2050 showing unfavourable outcomes in terms of incidence and cancer‐related deaths. The main challenges are prevention, improved therapeutics resulting in increased cure rates and enhanced health‐related quality of life.

Kinematic and Dynamic Analysis of the 2-DOF Spherical Wrist of Orthoglide 5-axis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper deals with the kinematics and dynamics of a two degree of freedom spherical manipulator, the wrist of Orthoglide 5-axis. The latter is a parallel kinematics machine composed of two manipulators: i) the Orthoglide 3-axis; a three-dof ...

Nonsingular change of assembly mode without any cusp [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceThis paper shows for the first time a parallel manipulator that can execute nonsingular changes of assembly modes while its joint space is free of cusp points and cuspidal edges.
