High-level programming of stencil computations on multi-GPU systems using the SkelCL library [PDF]
The implementation of stencil computations on modern, massively parallel systems with GPUs and other accelerators currently relies on manually-tuned coding using low-level approaches like OpenCL and CUDA.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Design and Optimization of a Novel Three-Dimensional Force Sensor with Parallel Structure
To measure large external forces exerted on a loading platform, a novel three-dimensional force sensor is developed in this paper. The proposed sensor was designed with a parallel mechanism with three degrees of freedom. Kinematic analysis of this sensor

Probabilistic motion planning for parallel mechanisms [PDF]
Despite the increasing interest in parallel mechanisms during the last years, few researchers have addressed the motion planning problem for such systems. The few existing techniques lie in a representation of the workspace of the mechanism (or its boundary).

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Kinematic Calibration Method for Six-Hardpoint Positioning Mechanisms Using Optimal Measurement Pose
In this study, a kinematic calibration method is proposed. The method selects the optimal measurement poses based on the observability index O1, and is used for six-hardpoint positioning mechanisms, which can identify and compensate for kinematic ...

Graceful Termination -- Graceful Resetting [PDF]
Correct — let alone graceful — termination of parallel systems is sometimes thought to be a difficult problem. This is particularly imagined to be so under the pure message-passing MIMD discipline of occam and transputer networks, where global operations

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Stiffness Analysis of a New Low Coupling 3T1R Asymmetrical Parallel Mechanism
Parallel robot manipulator with the function of space three translations and one rotation (3T1R) is widely used in industry because of its advantages of large working space, easy to realize high speed and low cost. The stiffness performance of a new 3T1R
