Type Synthesis and Analysis of a New Class of Bifurcation 3T2Rv Parallel Mechanisms With Variable/Invariable Rotational Axes

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Since the parallel mechanism has many advantages, such as high strength, high precision and so on, many industrial applications require mechanisms with three-dimensional translational and two-dimensional rotational motion (3T2R), 3T2R parallel mechanisms

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Stiffness Analysis of a New Low Coupling 3T1R Asymmetrical Parallel Mechanism

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2019
Parallel robot manipulator with the function of space three translations and one rotation (3T1R) is widely used in industry because of its advantages of large working space, easy to realize high speed and low cost. The stiffness performance of a new 3T1R

Multibody Dynamics Model of a Human Hand for Haptics Interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we propose a strategy for modelling a human hand for Haptics interaction. The strategy consists in a parallel computing architecture that calculates the dynamics of a hand; this is accomplished by computing the dynamics of each finger in a ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Vibration Analysis of 2-PR(Pa)U- 2-PR(Pa)R New Parallel Mechanism [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Design and Manufacturing Technology, 2018
Parallel kinematic machines, are closed loop structures which have more accuracy, stiffness and ability to withstand high loads. In this paper the vibration equations of the new parallel mechanism, that has higher stiffness because of parallelogram ...

Design of a 3-DOF Parallel Manipulator to Compensate for Disturbances in Facade Cleaning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper proposes a three-degree-of-freedom manifold composed of three linear actuators. The proposed mechanism consists of a workspace suitable for facade cleaning and can compensate for the horizontal position from disturbances in a gondola-based ...

Parallel moving mechanical systems

open access: yesIndependent Journal of Management & Production, 2014
Moving mechanical systems parallel structures are solid, fast, and accurate. Between parallel systems it is to be noticed Stewart platforms, as the oldest systems, fast, solid and precise. The work outlines a few main elements of Stewart platforms.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
