Femoral‐sciatic nerve block by levobupivacaine for a case of cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) with metatarsal fracture

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 4, November 2026.
Abstract Femoral‐sciatic nerve block is commonly used regional anaesthetic technique in small animal clinical practice. However, no previous reports are available about femoral‐sciatic nerve block in cheetahs. Chlorantraniliprole Formulation Poisoning: A Signal for Cardiac Conduction Abnormalities

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Chlorantraniliprole poisoning is rarely reported in humans. A 25‐year‐old man developed sinus bradycardia and first‐degree atrioventricular block after ingesting a chlorantraniliprole 18.5% suspension concentrate formulation. Laboratory investigations were unremarkable, and ECG abnormalities resolved within 72 h with supportive care.

Management of Absent Upper Esophageal Sphincter Opening After Neurological Injury

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 10, Page 4383-4391, October 2026.
This study evaluated the effects of swallowing therapy and cricopharyngeus (CP) muscle surgery on upper esophageal sphincter (UES) opening, oral intake, and airway protection in patients with absent UES opening following neurological injury. Harnessing Natural Killer Cells: From Neuroimmunology to Novel Therapies for Central Nervous System Diseases

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
This review delineates the multifaceted roles of natural killer (NK) cells in the central nervous system, spanning direct cytolysis, immunoregulation, and crosstalk with the brain microenvironment. We evaluate the translational potential and challenges of NK cell immunotherapies for a spectrum of neurological conditions.
