Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

A comparison of parameter estimation algorithms for estimating a polytomous log-linear cognitive diagnosis model for polytomous attributes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Parameter estimation techniques such as an expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm have been used ubiquitously to estimate cognitive diagnosis models (CDM).

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Parameter Estimation of Exciation Systems

open access: yes, 2009
LAI, JUMING. Parameter Estimation of Excitation Systems. (Under the direction of Mesut E. Baran) The purpose of the research has been to develop a methodology to simplify the process of parameter estimation of excitation systems. There are two parts in

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Parameter Estimation and Statistical Test on Zero Inflated Poisson Inverse Gaussian Regression (ZIPIGR) Model with Exposure Variable [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The over dispersion case is one of the assumptions that violated in the data count model using Poisson regression, which was caused by the presence of many zero values (more than 30%) on the response variable.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

A Global Approach to Parameter Estimation of Chaotic Dynamical Systems

open access: yes, 1992
We present a novel approach to parameter estimation of systems with complicated dynamics, as well as evidence for the existence of a universal power law that enables us to quantify the dependence of global geometry on small changes in the ...

Parameter estimation for peaky altimetric waveforms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Much attention has been recently devoted to the analysis of coastal altimetric waveforms. When approaching the coast, altimetric waveforms are sometimes corrupted by peaks caused by high reflective areas inside the illuminated land surfaces or by the ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...
