High-Precision Trajectory-Tracking Control of Quadrotor UAVs Based on an Improved Crested Porcupine Optimiser Algorithm and Preset Performance Self-Disturbance Control

open access: yesDrones
In view of the difficulties encountered when tuning parameters and the lack of anti-interference capabilities exhibited by high-precision trajectory-tracking control of quadrotor UAVs in complex dynamic environments, this paper proposes a fusion control ...

Two‐level global sensitivity analysis of the excitation contributions leading to acoustic noise in an electric motor for the purpose of robust optimisation

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, 2021
This study presents a sensitivity analysis methodology used for electric motor design. This innovative approach evaluates both global effects of parameter variations in their design range and of parameter deviations in their tolerance intervals on design

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Parameter Tuning of Agent-Based Models: Metaheuristic Algorithms

open access: yesMathematics
When it comes to modelling complex systems using an agent-based approach, there is a problem of choosing the appropriate parameter optimisation technique.

Karma Taguchi ve yüzey yanıt yöntemi kullanılarak astm b574 (hastelloy c-22)'in tornalanması esnasındaki işleme parametrelerinin yüzey pürüzlülüğüne etkisinin incelenmesi ve kesme parametrelerinin optimizasyonu

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2018
Bu çalışmada ASTM B574(Hastelloy C-22) malzemesi üzerinde tornalama işlemi sonrasında kesmeparametrelerinin (kesme derinliği, kesme hızı, radius, ilerleme hızı, debi, talaş açısı, yanaşma açısı) yüzey pürüzlüğü ve sıcaklık üzerindeki etkileriincelenmiştir.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Multi-criteria calibration of a conceptual runoff model using a genetic algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology and Earth System Sciences, 2000
: Calibration of a model against more than one output variable is important for reliable simulations of internal processes. In this study, a genetic algorithm combined with local optimisation was proposed for automatic single- and multi-criteria ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...
