Charting the parameter space of the global 21-cm signal [PDF]
The early star-forming Universe is still poorly constrained, with the properties of high-redshift stars, the first heating sources, and reionization highly uncertain. This leaves observers planning 21-cm experiments with little theoretical guidance.

Active learning BSM parameter spaces
AbstractActive learning (AL) has interesting features for parameter scans of new models. We show on a variety of models that AL scans bring large efficiency gains to the traditionally tedious work of finding boundaries for BSM models. In the MSSM, this approach produces more accurate bounds.

Derivation of Robust Stability Ranges for Disconnected Region with Multiple Parameters
The aim of this paper is to give an extension of the paper [T. Matsuda et al. Proc. 33rd IASTED Modelling, Identification and Control, 809-004, 2014], which gives a robust stability condition for a system with disconnected stability regions.

Storm Waves at the Shoreline: When and Where Are Infragravity Waves Important?
Infragravity waves (frequency, f = 0.005–0.05 Hz) are known to dominate hydrodynamic and sediment transport processes close to the shoreline on low-sloping sandy beaches, especially when incident waves are large.

Hough Transform Implementation For Event-Based Systems: Concepts and Challenges
Hough transform (HT) is one of the most well-known techniques in computer vision that has been the basis of many practical image processing algorithms. HT however is designed to work for frame-based systems such as conventional digital cameras. Recently,

Parameter space for magnetization effects in high-energy-density plasmas
Magnetic fields are well known to affect the evolution of fluids via the J × B force, where J is the current density and B is the magnetic field. This force leads to the influence of magnetic fields on hydrodynamics (magnetohydrodynamics).

This paper presents a multi-objective digital PID controller design method using the parameter space approach of robust control. Absolute stability is treated first by finding the digital PID controller gain parameter space corresponding to closed loop ...

Expanding the parameter space of natural supersymmetry
SUSY/SUGRA models with naturalness defined via small μ are constrained due to experiment on the relic density and the experimental limits on the WIMP-proton cross-section and WIMP annihilation cross-section from indirect detection experiments ...

An Elementary Proof of Convex Phase Retrieval in the Natural Parameter Space via the Linear Program PhaseMax [PDF]
The phase retrieval problem has garnered significant attention since the development of the PhaseLift algorithm, which is a convex program that operates in a lifted space of matrices.
