Parthenocarpy in Gynoecious Cucumber as Affected by Chlorflurenol, Genetical Parthenocarpy, and Night Temperatures

Abstract Methyl-2-chloro-9-hydroxyfluorene-(9)-carboxylate (chlorflurenol) effectively promoted parthenocarpic fruit development in gynoecious pickling cucumbers, Cucumis sativus L. Treatment with chlorflurenol increased yields of fruits under both greenhouse and open-field conditions.
